Serving since 1963 as Turkey’s first cable car line, Bursa Cable Car (Teleferik) is one of the world’s longest continuous cable car lines with a length of 9 kilometers. Starting from the Teferrüç station in the Yıldırım district and extending to the Uludağ Hotels Zone, this modern line offers visitors an unforgettable scenic journey above pine forests and the Bursa city landscape.
The journey, carried out in spacious and modern 8-person panoramic cabins, begins by gliding from the city toward the steep slopes of Uludağ. Throughout the trip, you can watch a bird’s-eye view of Bursa and photograph the changing nature cover and unique pine forests as you ascend. It offers safe and comfortable transportation in both summer and winter months.
There are 3 main stations along the cable car line. Kadıyayla, the first stop, offers a quiet atmosphere for those who wish to go nature hiking. The second stop, Sarıalan, is the favorite break spot for both local and foreign guests with its picnic areas, meat restaurants, and famous “cook-your-own” (kendin pişir kendin ye) venues. The final stop, Kurbağakaya (Hotels Zone), provides direct access to the peak for skiing in winter, and trekking or enjoying fresh mountain air in summer.
In the authentic cafes located at the stations, you can enjoy the view accompanied by hot chocolate or Turkish coffee. Especially at the Sarıalan station restaurants, you can dine in the famous mountain air or grab quick snacks from the in-station cafes.
Teferrüç & Peak Cafes: You can enjoy tea, coffee, and snacks at the scenic cafes inside the stations.
Sarıalan Restaurants: At the restaurants in the Sarıalan stop, you can taste delicious grilled meats and experience famous “cook-your-own” barbecue.
BURFAŞ Kurbağakaya Restaurant: Located at the final station, Kurbağakaya (Hotels Zone), this municipality-run facility offers affordable dining accompanied by a spectacular view.
Hotels Zone Options: Once at the summit, you can also benefit from rich dining alternatives in the restaurants and cafes of nearby hotels.
Take Panoramic Photos: Frame the Bursa cityscape and pine forests from inside the cabin during the journey.
Enjoy Mountain Air at Sarıalan: Get off at the Sarıalan stop for a short walk in the fresh mountain air or a tea break.
Experience Winter Snow at the Peak: If traveling during the winter season, ascend all the way to the Hotels Zone to experience the snow landscape.
Weather Check: In cases of severe wind or adverse weather conditions, cable car operations may be temporarily suspended. Checking the real-time line status before heading out is recommended.
Clothing Recommendation: The weather at the summit (Uludağ) is typically around 10 degrees lower than in the city center. Always remember to bring a cardigan or jacket with you, regardless of the season.
Shopping Convenience at the Summit (Migros): A Migros supermarket is available inside the Kurbağakaya Station at the final stop. You can easily purchase water, snacks, and personal needs here before your summit tour or picnic.
