Bursa Zoo & Botanical Park

Bursa Zoo, which spreads over a wide area in the Soğanlı region of Bursa, and the Botanical Park, located right across the street, are a perfect travel route for those who want to get away from the noise of the city and meet nature. Zoo Bursa, which was designed and opened to European standards in 1998, offers a natural environment for animals with its large natural habitats; Botanical Park promises a visual feast to its visitors with thousands of tree and plant species.

Bursa Zoo (Zoo Bursa)

The zoo has spacious enclosures and landscaped grounds, with animals including lions, bears, giraffes, zebras, birds and ponies. It offers an educational outdoor visit for families with children.

Soganli Botanical Park

The 400,000 m² park beside the zoo includes Japanese, French and English-style gardens. Walking paths, cycle routes and a large pond make it a popular stop for nature lovers.

Historical Bursa Houses Models & Bicycle Paths

Architectural examples of traditional Bursa mansions located in the Botanical Park add a special elegance to the atmosphere of the park. The smooth cobblestone paths around the park are ideal for safe cycling and walking.

Transportation from Hotel:

By Car: It takes approximately 12-15 minutes by car from our hotel (Approximately 8 km).
Public Transportation: From stops near our hotel, take a municipal bus or minibus towards the Botanical Park / Zoo to reach the site without changing vehicles.
Taxi (Recommended): It is a practical and comfortable transportation alternative from our hotel.

Accessibility:

Wheelchair & Baby Stroller: Access is possible thanks to flat ground; However, it can be challenging due to the old-style cobblestone sections within the Botanical Park.

Parking:

There is a very large, safe and organised car park at the entrance of the facility.

Visiting Hours:

It is open to visitors every day of the week. It can be visited between 09:30 - 19:00 in summer and between 09:30 - 17:00 in winter.

Visit Duration:

2 – 3 hours (for both the Zoo and Botanical Park walk).

Food & Beverage Facilities:

Cafes & Restaurants in the Park: There are cafeterias in the Botanical Park and Zoo where you can have a tea/coffee break and restaurants serving the famous Bursa Iskender Kebab.
Picnic & Rest: You can buy snacks from the kiosks in the park or relax on the benches in the shade of the trees.

Don't Leave Without Doing:

Take a Bike Tour in the Botanical Park: Hire a bicycle or a family-sized four-wheel cycle at the park entrance and ride around the pond.
An İskender Kebab Break: Take a delicious meal break against the nature view at the mansion in the Botanical Park.

Tips:

Best Travel Time: Spring and autumn bring vivid colours to the landscape. A morning visit offers especially beautiful views.
Comfortable Shoe Preference: Since the area is spread over a fairly large area, it is recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes.
